Although XdsObjects is used on its own for most XDS operations, further specific enhancements for use with XDS for Imaging (XDS-I) require the avility to dissect and use DICOM entities.

This may be done either using DicomObjects, for which very simple methods are available, but for those who have other existing toolkits, all functionality is also available without using DicomObjects.  If DicomObjects cannot be found when it is actually need and used at runtime, then a "Not Found" exception will be thrown.

Normally, the two packages are licensed separately, but discounted packages are available for combined use.
